Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) reported fourth quarter earnings that beat analyst's expectations on Thursday and revenue that topped forecasts.
The firm reported earnings per share of $1.48 on revenue of $14.31B. Analysts polled by Investing.com forecast EPS of $1.33 on revenue of $13.72B. That compared to EPS of $1.07 on revenue of $14.24B in the same period a year earlier. The company had reported EPS of $1.87 on revenue of $15.23B in the previous quarter.
For the year, Walt Disney shares are up 7.98%, outperforming the S&P 500 which is up 4.54% year to date.
